About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered tools and workflows, including data wrangling pipelines, visualization apps, and agentic AI solutions.
- Build and maintain data infrastructure to centralize and standardize experimental data from multi-omic platforms.
- Implement LIMS schemas and electronic lab notebook (ELN) workflows to ensure data is FAIR and reproducible.
- Act as an AI Architect by defining best practices, contributing to department-wide AI strategy, and building reusable code packages.
- Mentor and train colleagues in computational methods, AI tool use, and reproducible data practices.
- Apply ML and statistical models to extract biological insights from high-dimensional datasets, such as single-cell and spatial transcriptomics.
- Interface with Data Science and R&D IT teams to co-develop scalable, production-ready solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience building data infrastructure in a research setting, including LIMS/ELN workflows and automated data pipelines.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, LLM integration, or AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R, along with experience in large-scale data management.
- Deep expertise in immunology or immuno-oncology, including a working understanding of T cell function and the tumor microenvironment.
- Hands-on experience with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, bulk RNA-seq, or functional screening datasets.
- Experience developing and deploying tools for others, such as Shiny apps or shared analysis packages.
- Proficiency with version control using Git/GitHub and collaborative software development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Experience with advanced deep learning models (e.g., graph neural networks, transformers) applied to biological data.
- Knowledge of T-cell engagers, cytokines, bispecific molecules, or myeloid biology.
- Experience working in an industry drug discovery setting.
