Senior Satellite Terminal Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a founding member of the support team to establish and scale technical support and operational capability
• Lead complex technical investigations with Satellite Network Operators, teleport providers, and modem vendors
• Maintain ownership of customer communications during operational events
• Support service activation for live satellite links, including commissioning and monitoring modems
• Operate and improve ITSM processes including Incident, Release, and RMA
• Develop desk-level procedures and knowledge articles for satellite link bring-up and fault isolation
• Deliver real-time support for demonstrations and customer trials
• Perform proactive link health checks and analysis of modem telemetry and RF metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Satellite Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM discipline
• 8+ years of experience in satellite network operations, terminal, or teleport operations
• Extensive hands-on experience supporting GEO, MEO, and LEO satellite systems
• Proven track record of troubleshooting across satellite, RF, modem, and IP layers
• Ability to operate effectively in high-growth or greenfield environments
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Eligibility to hold and pass US secret security vetting
• Flexibility to work shifts and travel to support customer requirements
