About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced SAP Basis administration tasks including system installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management
- Monitor SAP systems to identify performance issues and proactively implement solutions
- Manage database administration and tuning for SAP HANA or other supported databases
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts across SAP landscapes
- Implement security policies and user administration
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Basis consultants
- Document procedures, system configurations, and changes
- Collaborate with project teams on SAP system migrations and landscape transformations
- Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP Basis consulting or administration
- Expertise in SAP system installations, upgrades, and performance tuning including SAP HANA
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (Oracle, SAP HANA) and operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Experience with SAP security, user administration, and transport management
- Relevant SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Specialist preferred
