About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities aligned with revenue growth strategies
  • Discover and develop greenfield business opportunities
  • Identify and develop expansion opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Build and manage a pipeline including new customer acquisition and upsell opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Motivate team members and drive high performance
  • Collaborate with sales team members on account planning and engage with client executives to advance deals
  • Develop and track KPIs to improve sales productivity and decision-making
  • Formulate and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Act as an owner of the sales process, providing weekly and monthly reports on forecasts, pipeline, and activity
  • Support strategic planning for revenue growth, business development, and profitability
  • Collaborate effectively across all organizational departments as a senior leader
  • Prepare and conduct client meetings and presentations, handle inquiries, and support contract processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in financial institutions, payments, or the card industry
  • 5+ years of B2B software sales experience
  • Experience working at a payment or issuer processor company
  • Proven track record and motivation to achieve sales quotas
  • High level of communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interest and ability to understand new technologies
  • Enthusiasm for the Episode Six business model
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and sales management tools (HubSpot preferred)
