About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities aligned with revenue growth strategies
- Discover and develop greenfield business opportunities
- Identify and develop expansion opportunities within existing client accounts
- Build and manage a pipeline including new customer acquisition and upsell opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets
- Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Motivate team members and drive high performance
- Collaborate with sales team members on account planning and engage with client executives to advance deals
- Develop and track KPIs to improve sales productivity and decision-making
- Formulate and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
- Act as an owner of the sales process, providing weekly and monthly reports on forecasts, pipeline, and activity
- Support strategic planning for revenue growth, business development, and profitability
- Collaborate effectively across all organizational departments as a senior leader
- Prepare and conduct client meetings and presentations, handle inquiries, and support contract processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of sales experience in financial institutions, payments, or the card industry
- 5+ years of B2B software sales experience
- Experience working at a payment or issuer processor company
- Proven track record and motivation to achieve sales quotas
- High level of communication and presentation skills
- Strong interest and ability to understand new technologies
- Enthusiasm for the Episode Six business model
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and sales management tools (HubSpot preferred)
