About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned territory focused on new sales within group sizes ranging from 10 to 20,000 members
- Partner with brokers and consultants to grow EyeMed group vision benefits within small, mid-market, and national segments
- Define and execute strategies to develop and grow relationships with assigned brokers through in-market initiatives
- Educate broker constituents through proactive in-person or virtual meetings, presentations, and telephonic outreach
- Effectively present the EyeMed value proposition to brokers and clients to drive quoting activity
- Execute quote requests with client-focused solutions and facilitate the sales process to exceed targets
- Manage sales metrics and processes utilizing CRM tools and internal systems
- Collaborate with SMB and National Account Management teams to develop strong broker partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience
- Possession of an Accident and Health Insurance License, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire
- Experience in benefits, insurance, healthcare, or a related industry
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales metrics and forming new client relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in territory management and owning a specific geographic area
- Existing relationships within the brokerage industry
- Experience selling ancillary benefits
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com
