About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory plans and account strategies in collaboration with the sales team
  • Drive pre-sales engagement by providing technical guidance during discovery, evaluation, and proposal stages
  • Evangelize Commvault’s solutions to expand opportunities and engage key stakeholders
  • Lead proof of value (PoV) creations and participate in cloud architecture discussions
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, and presentations to C-suite executives
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical decision-makers and execute Technical Account Plans
  • Provide enablement support for channel and alliance partners
  • Gather customer feedback to share with Product Management to influence future innovations

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the software, cloud, or storage industries
  • 10+ years of experience in a pre-sales or solutions engineer role
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern technologies like containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Deep knowledge of data management solutions, including backup, recovery, security resilience, and migration
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure technologies (storage, servers, networking, hyper-convergence)
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC
  • Ability to travel within Asia as required
  • Experience working with large multinational enterprise and public sector clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field
