Senior Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and guidance to sales team members and junior engineers
• Lead pre-contract engineering efforts for high-risk and high-complexity load handling activities
• Create detailed lift plans including load calculations, equipment selection, and rigging configurations
• Conduct structural and stability analyses to ensure safe project execution
• Perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational risks
• Collaborate with sales leads, site teams, and clients to provide technical expertise
• Review concept and proposal materials for technical accuracy and strategic alignment
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with OSHA, ASME, AISC, and ANSI standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the crane, rigging, or heavy lifting industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited university
• Proficiency with CAD, 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Inventor), and Lift Planner
• Experience with engineering software such as RISA-3D, Ansys, or Mathcad
• Strong understanding of load calculations and structural analysis
• Ability to travel to project sites and work in outdoor/construction environments
• Must pass a drug test, fit for duty, and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• OSHA 10 certification
