Senior Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in environmental management, compliance, occupational safety, and risk management
• Ensure OSHA compliance including Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, and Chemical Safety
• Manage OSHA 300 Logs, recordkeeping, and reporting
• Assist management with accident investigations and root cause analysis
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for routine and non-routine tasks
• Develop training materials such as toolbox talks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Promote safe forklift operations through training and coaching
• Manage site security relationships and assist with inventory shrinkage investigations
• Support quality, food safety, production, and logistics departments

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of occupational safety experience in manufacturing or industrial EHS
• Expertise in OSHA compliance (PIT, lockout/tagout, strain/sprain prevention)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or Environmental Health & Safety
• Safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OHST
