Senior Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead workplace safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety within distribution center operations
• Ensure OSHA compliance regarding Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, and Chemical Safety
• Conduct accident investigations, root cause analysis, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Develop training materials including toolbox talks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Manage site security relationships and assist with inventory shrinkage investigations
• Monitor HSE initiatives such as Behavior Safety, Safety Observations, and Near Miss reporting
• Act as a subject matter expert for safety and security questions for the management team

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of occupational safety experience in manufacturing or industrial EHS
• Expertise in OSHA compliance, specifically PIT, lockout/tagout, and strain/sprain prevention
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Strong communication and presentation skills to influence all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or Environmental Health & Safety
• Professional safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OHST
