Senior Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate, and monitor health and safety programs for the entire company
• Foster and enforce a culture of safety ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws
• Lead the development of safety vision, objectives, strategies, and policies
• Manage hazard assessment activities, including safety inspections and incident data analysis
• Conduct root cause analyses and accident investigations
• Lead and manage the safety staff through hiring, coaching, and mentoring
• Research construction sites to identify potential hazards such as ventilation, lighting, and terrain
• Develop site-specific emergency evacuation plans
• Report workplace injuries to Human Resources and Workers’ Compensation Administrator

Requirements

• At least 7.5 years of construction safety experience
• Experience overseeing large commercial and/or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, regional, and local construction safety regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the company
• Ability to perform work at elevations exceeding 30 feet
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to travel extensively to project locations across the U.S. and internationally
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field
• OSHA 500 certification
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Smartsheet experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
