Senior Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive safe processes and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Identify trends and areas of risk within the building and support corrective measures
• Continuously improve safety culture through instruction and training of leaders
• Review metrics and incident details weekly to determine root cause and corrective measures
• Utilize Six Sigma and other analysis tools to identify safety solutions
• Perform floor walks to audit for compliance and execution of safety programs
• Maintain thorough working knowledge of Federal and State OSHA regulations
• Serve as on-site incident leader in the event of a severe injury
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups including Operations, HR, and Food Safety

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or a related field
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant Safety Certification
• 8+ years of management experience in occupational safety and health or NFPA
• Experience in a manufacturing, fulfillment, or distribution environment
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OSHA VPP
• Experience implementing ISO45001
