Senior Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Advise Project and Program Managers on the implementation of the Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP).
• Conduct project audits and site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, developing corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze safety trends from audits and incident reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Represent the company during regulatory inspections, client audits, and loss-control reviews.
• Deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientations and regulatory best-practice training.
• Support risk assessments and work planning activities by providing technical safety expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–10+ years of professional Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) experience.
• Strong understanding of ANSI, NFPA, and other recognized industry safety standards.
• Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting major infrastructure, construction, or industrial projects.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural project environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of behavior-based safety and continuous improvement methodologies.
