Senior Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) and associated policies.
• Conduct project and worksite audits against corporate safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform site inspections to identify hazards and provide recommendations to eliminate or control risks.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses using recognized methodologies.
• Develop corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with project teams.
• Analyze trends from audits, inspections, and incident reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Deliver regulatory and best-practice safety training programs and conduct new hire orientations.
• Represent the company during regulatory inspections, client audits, and loss-control reviews.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across all project activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–10+ years of professional Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) experience.
• Strong understanding of ANSI, NFPA, and other recognized industry safety standards.
• Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and safety management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting major infrastructure, construction, industrial, or program management projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.
• Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Knowledge of behavior-based safety and continuous improvement methodologies.
