Senior Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to ensure facility safety
• Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify and eliminate non-compliance issues
• Assist in accident investigations and recommend effective corrective actions
• Manage safety projects related to energetics, including process hazard analysis
• Conduct training and communication campaigns to raise site-wide safety awareness
• Serve as a liaison between employees, management, customers, and regulators
• Work under limited supervision to maintain high safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
• OR Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Safety Engineering experience
• OR 10 years of prior Safety Engineering experience in lieu of a degree
• Proven experience with OSHA 1910 General Industry standards
• Strong skills in hazard analysis and risk assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
• Experience with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Knowledge of munitions, explosives, and energetic materials
• Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, ANSI, and DoD 4145.26M standards
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS software (ArcGIS/ArcMap)
• Experience with Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Protection, and Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E)
