About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of safety management systems and programs
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits and risk assessments on various projects
- Oversee incident investigations and analyze data to improve safety performance
- Provide expert advice on safety regulations and best practices to project management teams
- Prepare and deliver safety training sessions for employees and contractors
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to suggest necessary improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in safety engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior PMC role
- Strong knowledge of safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- NEBOSH or IOSH certifications
