About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in regular Operational Safety audits across the Disney Experiences segment, including scope development and post-audit follow-up.
  • Verify that safety-critical operating practices align with both Disney and external safety standards using data-driven insights and field observations.
  • Build trust-based relationships with leaders at all levels to ensure audit findings and observations are accurate.
  • Drive stakeholder agreement on audit findings to develop and implement actionable mitigation plans.
  • Create and present audit reports to Management and Executive leadership, ensuring follow-up requirements are completed.
  • Diagnose root causes behind systemic issues through auditing and investigative work.
  • Act as a mentor to team members and a subject matter expert for operations leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Attractions, Entertainment, Recreation, Transportation, or related fields.
  • Deep knowledge of theme park safety-related standards, regulations, policies, and practices.
  • Proven experience driving processes and accomplishing complex project goals.
  • Proficiency in using SharePoint, MS Teams, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical details for executive audiences.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours), walk several miles daily, and work in various weather conditions or confined spaces.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Disney experience with knowledge of specific Disney processes and standards.
  • Experience establishing or monitoring the health of safety-critical processes.
  • Proficiency with Smartsheet’s reporting and dashboard capabilities.
  • Training, experience, or certification in auditing processes (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor).
  • Experience as a "Leader of Leaders."
