Senior Safety and Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform autonomous, complex safety and reliability analyses at all vehicle and system levels.
• Coordinate internal and external safety engineering teams on assigned modifications or sub-programs.
• Act as a technical coach for junior team members to support their professional development.
• Prepare, present, and defend safety arguments before official certification authorities such as EASA, OCCAR, and NAHEMA.
• Influence design architectures and system installation options to mitigate cascading failures, fire risks, or bird strike impacts.
• Challenge equipment suppliers to ensure designs meet rigorous safety and reliability requirements.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent engineering degree in aeronautics.
• 5+ years of experience in safety and reliability engineering.
• Expertise in Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) and System Safety Analysis (SSA).
• Strong knowledge of helicopter system architecture and design.
• Fluency in English (negotiation level) and French.
• Proven ability to lead, guide, or coordinate other engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific safety evaluations by zone and particular risk assessments.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a highly structured environment.
