Senior Safety Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide expert health, safety, and wellbeing advice to site and project teams
• Prepare, implement, and maintain project safety plans, systems, and procedures
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and reviews, providing practical feedback and recommendations
• Lead and support incident investigations, including corrective action development
• Mentor and coach site personnel to continuously improve safety performance
• Support injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WHS legislation, industry standards, and innovations
• Foster open, transparent, and collaborative safety leadership across projects

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a similar safety role within civil construction or a related industry
• Minimum Diploma in OHS (a degree is highly desirable)
• Relevant certifications including First Aid, Workplace Rehabilitation/RTW, and ICAM
• Sound working knowledge of plant operations and site-based risks
• Current driver's licence and access to own transport
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with crews, leaders, and clients
