Senior ROV Pilot Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced ROV piloting operations for construction, survey, inspection, and intervention tasks
• Lead the launch and recovery of ROV systems, coordinating deck crew and overseeing LARS and TMS systems
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, electronic, fibre-optic, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Perform planned and corrective maintenance on ROV systems according to manufacturer specifications
• Monitor ROV telemetry, sonar, video feeds, and sensor data during live operations
• Operate and maintain manipulator systems for valve operations and tool deployment
• Assist the ROV Supervisor with shift briefings, risk assessments, and task planning

Requirements

• Minimum 360 days offshore as ROV Pilot Technician Grade I
• At least 100 logged piloting hours on IMCA ROV Logbook
• Valid IMCA Company Member Competence Certificate or completed IMCA Competence Portfolio
• Technical qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic disciplines
• IMCA-approved ROV Introductory Training certification
• Proficiency in advanced fault finding and manipulator use
• OPITO approved BOSIET with CA-EBS, MIST, and OEUK Medical

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience piloting observation or work-class ROVs
• Exposure to sonar, manipulator arms, and subsea tooling
• Experience with fibre-optic, HV, or integrated ROV control systems
