About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and operational support for rotating machinery, including centrifugal compressors, cryogenic expanders, turbines, and pumps.
- Support plant operations through troubleshooting, design reviews, and participation in pre-turnaround (TAR) planning and execution.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process safety and reliability.
- Act as a design authority for new capital projects and review proposed changes via the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to ensure quality control during equipment repairs and testing.
- Develop technical content, documentation, and training to mentor and grow internal technical expertise.
- Drive continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency across Large Industries in the Americas.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.
- 15+ years of experience working with rotating machinery.
- Detailed knowledge of various compressor, turbine, pump, and fan designs and maintenance.
- Expertise in lubrication systems and practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex design or operational issues.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
- Ability to work effectively in both corporate and plant environments, including wearing FRC clothing and PPE.
Preferred Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of Oxygen Compression Equipment.
- Experience with Oxygen Cleanliness procedures and documentation requirements.
