Senior Robotics Software Engineer, Autonomy

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robotics software systems and algorithms
• Architect scalable and robust robotics software systems considering performance and reliability
• Develop high-quality code using C++, Python, or Java for robotic platforms
• Design and optimize algorithms for perception, planning, control, and navigation
• Integrate software components into robotic systems and conduct thorough testing and debugging
• Mentor junior team members and conduct code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers and product managers
• Document software designs, architectures, and implementation details

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on robotics systems
• Strong programming skills in C++
• Deep understanding of robotics principles, algorithms, and frameworks
• Proficiency in robotic simulation environments and tools
• Knowledge of computer vision, machine learning, and control theory
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related data-centric discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in deployed robotics software

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Practical experience in developing mobile robot navigation for real-world deployment
