Senior Robotics Engineer (Perception)

About the Company

Rekise Marine is building autonomous ships and submarines that operate in the world's most hostile environments. We're executing India's flagship autonomous submarine project — the Jalkapi XLAUV — on order from the Indian Navy. We're creating some of the largest autonomous robots in the world, machines with direct impact on the global economy and national security.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end AI/ML pipelines for sonar, LiDAR, radar, and camera-based perception
• Design and implement multi-sensor fusion frameworks combining acoustic, optical, and electromagnetic sensors
• Implement real-time object detection, segmentation, and tracking for underwater missions
• Enhance perception robustness under challenging conditions like turbidity, low-light, and acoustic noise
• Apply optimization techniques like quantization and pruning for deployment on resource-constrained embedded systems
• Build complete ML pipelines including data collection, annotation, training, and edge inference

Requirements

• B.Tech/M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML for robotic perception systems
• Strong expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with computer vision and signal processing algorithms
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for production ML systems
• Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques and probabilistic frameworks
• Experience with GPU acceleration and optimization (CUDA/TensorRT)
• Understanding of ROS/ROS2 for robotics integration
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICRA, IROS)
• Experience with underwater perception and sonar/acoustic processing
• Hands-on deployment of perception systems on real autonomous vehicles
• Edge AI optimization and embedded system deployment
• Background in 3D perception, SLAM, and mapping
