Senior Roadway Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering design and analysis for transportation projects using Microstation and OpenRoads
• Manage design tasks, identify project risks, and oversee task management and project management duties
• Support the preparation of preliminary and final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members while ensuring strict adherence to QA/QC standards
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and infrastructure authorities on various funded improvement projects
• Contribute to project pursuits through proposal writing and participation in client meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Five (5) years of professional engineering experience
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration in the State of Indiana, or the ability to obtain it via reciprocity within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microstation, InRoads SS10, and/or OpenRoad Designer (ORD)
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management
• Knowledge of INDOT and local agency design manuals, specifications, and regulations
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Existing professional relationships with public agency staff
