Senior RMA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily RMA evaluation process to resolve product quality issues.
• Evaluate customer returns using advanced tools such as ATE, XRAY, CSAM, IV curve, and bench tests to identify root causes.
• Serve as a technical liaison between Qualcomm, the Product Core Team, and Branch CQE to optimize quality processes.
• Track actions, schedules, and owners to ensure timely RMA analysis and initiate corrective actions.
• Produce regular 8D reports for problem-solving teams and management.
• Provide customer feedback to internal teams to improve product quality and satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical, Computer, or Communication Engineering (MS preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 4 years in customer support, quality engineering, or product testing.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment including Agilent Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Experience with system-level debug and product characterization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in the automotive industry and understanding of automotive system technologies (IVI, ADAS, connectivity).
• Expertise in addressing ASIC Apps processor issues related to camera, audio, video encoding, and graphics validation.
• Knowledge of semiconductor assembly, SMT, packaging, and mechanical test parameters.
• Experience with hardware verification on CPU, GPU, and memory.
