About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the risk management subject matter expert for assigned projects, programs, or portfolios.
- Develop and implement effective risk management frameworks and strategies tailored to client needs.
- Facilitate structured workshops to elicit assumptions, quantify uncertainty, and validate economic risk drivers.
- Maintain project risk registers and develop quantitative economic risk models to evaluate project outcomes.
- Conduct quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis (QCRA/QSRA) using probabilistic and simulation-based methods.
- Advise project leadership on risk-adjusted contingency and schedule reserve ranges.
- Prepare economic risk assessments, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior risk managers and other staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in risk management, construction management, project management, or contract management.
- Knowledge of risk management standards such as AACE International, PMI, or ISO 31000.
- Proven experience facilitating quantitative risk analysis (QRA) workshops for cost and schedule.
- Proficiency in cost risk analysis software (e.g., @Risk, Acumen Risk, Crystal Ball) and schedule risk analysis software (e.g., OPC, Primavera Risk Analysis).
- Experience managing and developing diverse teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-RMP, or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience in multiple sectors such as transportation, energy, or aviation.
- Practical knowledge of Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
- Knowledge of planning tools like P6 or MS Project.
- Experience with FTA-funded programs and federal/state transportation regulations.
