Senior Risk Controls and Governance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and implement a robust yet pragmatic control framework tailored to an energy trading business
• Identify control gaps, assess risks, and drive practical, sustainable improvements
• Partner with trading desks and support functions to understand workflows and key control points
• Lead investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Strengthen governance, escalation practices, and overall risk awareness
• Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in energy trading, commodities, or wholesale environments
• Strong understanding of trading desk operations and associated risks
• Demonstrated experience in controls, governance, risk management, or internal audit within the energy space
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence constructively
• Strong analytical skills and experience in root-cause analysis
• Fluent English
