About the role

Responsibilities

  • Create robust and easy-to-use character rigs in Maya
  • Develop high-performance mesh and deformation systems
  • Ensure clean export and seamless integration into Unreal
  • Support and improve the animation production chain and workflows
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to rigging, deformation, and engine integration
  • Optimize rigs for real-time performance
  • Collaborate closely with Animation, Technical Art, and Engineering teams
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal tools and pipeline best practices

Requirements

  • Solid expertise in character rigging for video games
  • Excellent mastery of rigging workflows in Maya
  • Deep understanding of deformation, mesh, and control systems
  • Hands-on experience with Unreal, including Blueprints
  • Proficiency in Python scripting applied to technical animation workflows
  • Experience in large-scale game productions
  • Ability to support projects with a high volume of characters (e.g., MOBA or hero-based games)
  • Strong understanding of real-time optimization constraints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and pipeline vision
  • Experience in facial rigging, including joint-based, blendshape, or hybrid systems
