Senior RF Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design front-end RF signal-chain circuits and assemblies for space vehicle communication systems
• Design stable, low-phase noise oscillators and distribution networks
• Design RF digitizer circuits using multi-GSPS ADC/DAC components
• Integrate RF circuits and digitizer assemblies with FPGA-based DSP functions
• Collaborate with project teams to establish technical requirements and conduct design reviews
• Support PCB layout engineers to ensure RF performance requirements are met
• Verify design performance through systematic laboratory measurements
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for RF hardware identified during testing
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced RF engineers

Requirements

• BSEE or equivalent degree
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant RF engineering experience
• Deep understanding of RF circuit theory and transmission line propagation
• Proficiency in schematic capture and commercial EDA tools (Cadence, AWR, or Keysight ADS)
• Experience with 3D EM field modeling (Ansys SIwave & HFSS)
• Experience using VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, and Phase Noise Analyzers
• Experience designing front-end RF receiver and transmitter circuits
• US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing direct-sampling or frequency-converting digital RF systems
• Expertise in 3D EM field modeling of PCB transmission lines
