Senior RF Digital Signal Processing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of DSP algorithms for embedded devices and SDRs
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of software and hardware engineers to develop software defined radio systems
• Act as technical leader and subject-matter expert helping to teach, grow, and mentor others in the team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related STEM field
• 8+ years of experience in RF digital communications and DSP systems
• Strong knowledge of DSP concepts (modems, channelizers, Doppler compensation, adaptive filtering)
• Strong knowledge of digital communications theory (spread spectrum, FEC, channel estimation, modulation types)
• Experience with signal detection topologies (burst detection, digital up/down-conversion, phase lock loops)
• Experience developing filter topologies (FIR, IIR)
• Experience implementing topologies in GNU Radio with SDRs
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FPGA design, implementation, and verification for RF applications
• Experience with signal intelligence (SIGINT) or electronic warfare (EW)
• Experience with channel emulators and system-level simulations
• Experience with SDR hardware development (data converters, clock trees)
• Experience with coupled hardware and DSP algorithm design
