Senior Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the monthly revenue close process, including ASC 606 compliance and SSP analysis
• Prepare revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses
• Partner with DealOps on contract reviews to assess revenue recognition implications
• Maintain internal controls environment and document SOX-ready policies
• Lead coordination with external auditors for quarterly and year-end audits
• Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time and automate manual workflows
• Ensure revenue system integrity within NetSuite or equivalent ERP
• Prepare executive-ready revenue reporting packages and variance analyses

Requirements

• 4-6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience in a SaaS or software environment
• Demonstrated ownership of ASC 606 compliance
• Experience in both private and public company settings
• Hands-on expertise with month-end close and audit processes
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable ERP/CRM systems
• CPA license (active or inactive)

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 public accounting background with technology sector clients
• Experience through an IPO, M&A transaction, or significant systems implementation
• Familiarity with revenue automation tools like Zuora Revenue, RevPro, or NetSuite ARM
• Exposure to usage-based or consumption-based revenue models
• Proficiency with AI tools for building automated workflows
