About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and release body interior components and subsystems into production
- Collaborate with attribute leads, cross-functional engineering teams, and manufacturing
- Support source selection activities and work with Global Supply Chain team
- Utilize CATIA V5/V6 for packaging, integrating, and detailing components
- Execute quality and robustness activities such as DFMEA and DVP&R
- Support vehicle prototype and production build activities to resolve fit and function issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of automotive engineering experience in interior systems design and release
- Experience with CAD design tools and production drawing releases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial design on concept feasibility
- Proven track record of delivery from concept through launch
- Ability to work with rapid development cycles and experimental hardware
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
