Senior Responsible Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Responsible Engineer for assigned products and assemblies
• Own the technical baseline of assigned hardware and approve design changes
• Review and approve engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
• Evaluate and disposition non-conformances, deviations, and waivers
• Provide technical oversight for qualification and acceptance test plans to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 standards
• Interface with certification authorities such as FAA, DCSA, and customer DERs
• Lead engineering change boards (ECBs) for assigned products
• Provide authoritative technical guidance to design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
• Work with Technical Program Managers to achieve project milestones

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering
• 8+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industrial hardware
• Experience in a technical authority or lead engineer capacity
• Expert-level understanding of electromechanical product design
• Mastery of ASME Y14.5 GD&T
• Deep experience with DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 qualification processes
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
