Senior Resident Engineer - Infrastructure (Utilities)

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and supervise all site-based field engineering and construction activities for major infrastructure works.
• Exercise full administrative and technical oversight of site operations to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Manage construction and procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of all works.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, including technical guidance, coordination, and negotiations.
• Provide technical direction regarding construction methodologies, sequencing, and scope of work.
• Ensure strict compliance with quality control (QA/QC) procedures and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Coordinate closely with design teams, contractors, and client representatives to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage and review key project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in construction and field engineering.
• Proven expertise in wet and dry utilities, with a strong preference for high-voltage (HV) dry utility systems.
• Extensive supervisory experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in CAD and standard engineering software tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects within the UAE or GCC region.
• Demonstrated expertise in utility coordination, specifically high-voltage network interfaces and utility diversions.
• Ability to proactively identify site risks and implement effective mitigation measures in fast-paced environments.
