Senior Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site technical authority and primary liaison between manufacturing and product engineering
• Manage and coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams to complete projects
• Provide product engineering support, including managing pilot parts, pilot runs, and coordinating ECN status
• Support plant operations, including production, manufacturing, and in-plant quality and engineering needs
• Lead troubleshooting activities to resolve customer, plant, or engineering problems
• Contribute to quality improvement and cost improvement projects
• Analyze and present data as needed to optimize processes and minimize downtime

Requirements

• Associates degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• At least 7 years of related professional experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility or with high-volume rotating equipment
• Proficiency with Minitab or other statistical software
• Knowledge of DMAIC problem-solving methodology
• Lean or Six-sigma knowledge
