Senior Researcher

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research direction in GPU infrastructure analytics, cluster reliability, and workload performance
• Originate novel research for turning raw infrastructure telemetry into actionable intelligence
• Lead design and development of statistical, machine learning, and optimisation systems for large-scale GPU telemetry
• Develop advanced models for anomaly detection, failure prediction, and agentic root cause analysis
• Design experiments and prototype predictive algorithms to inform production systems
• Translate research findings into production-ready prototypes and technical recommendations
• Collaborate with Fleet, Infrastructure, and AI Platform teams to ensure operational impact

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in statistical modelling, machine learning, optimisation, or applied AI
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, Physics, or Engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow)
• Experience with large-scale structured datasets, time-series data, or infrastructure telemetry
• Experience designing and analysing controlled experiments (A/B testing, hypothesis testing, causal inference)
• Experience building and validating predictive models in production or research environments
• Experience with distributed data systems such as Spark, Ray, or Dask
• Proficiency in SQL
• Strong understanding of optimisation techniques (linear programming, convex optimisation, reinforcement learning)

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD with published research in systems optimisation, distributed computing, or ML systems
• Experience with GPU workloads, distributed training, or HPC environments
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerised workloads, or cloud-native systems
• Experience developing reinforcement learning or agentic systems
• Background in capacity planning, forecasting, or resource allocation modelling
• Experience with observability, hardware telemetry, or failure prediction
