Senior Research Scientist

Responsibilities

• Make laboratory batches to support early product development in compliance with DEA, cGMP, and regulatory guidelines
• Plan, design, and execute research projects, providing technical expertise as a formulation and process subject matter expert
• Write manufacturing process instructions, SOPs, SMAs, and technical reports for plant execution and regulatory submissions
• Support site quality by assisting with product investigations, change controls, and CAPAs
• Mentor direct reports and supervise formulation development efforts and project scale-up timelines
• Review and approve project protocols, compounding modules, and process instructions

Requirements

• Ph.D. with 4-6 years of experience, OR Master's with 7-9 years, OR Bachelor's with 10-12 years of related experience
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical product or process development
• Deep knowledge of semi-solids dosage forms and/or new drug delivery systems
• Strong understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements
• Ability to develop advanced research protocols, analyze data, and present findings
• Proficiency in MS Office and specialized scientific software
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
