Senior Research Scientist, Intelligent Editing (Multimodality)

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research and development in computer vision and machine learning, specifically in multi-modal understanding, vision and language, and large-scale training.
• Transfer advanced AI technologies into ByteDance products to enhance user experience.
• Explore and develop new products with artificial intelligence at their core.
• Work within the Intelligent Creation Team to advance AI, special effects, and audio-video creation technologies.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of research and practical experience in computer vision or related fields.
• Expertise in multimodal understanding (e.g., video highlight detection, audio/music understanding).
• Experience in vision and language tasks such as image/video captioning, retrieval, or VQA.
• Experience applying language models to downstream tasks, particularly for intelligent editing.
• Proven experience with large-scale training and RLHF.
• Strong programming skills in both C/C++ and Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, EMNLP, or COLING.
