About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support R&D projects focused on wheat and cereal grains, including experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of wheat-based ingredients such as flours, proteins, starches, and fibers.
  • Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to evaluate dough rheology, hydration properties, and processing behavior.
  • Utilize analytical instrumentation including RVA, farinograph, mixograph, DSC, and texture analyzers.
  • Participate in formulation and application testing to assess structure, volume, and sensory attributes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ingredient scale-up and technical troubleshooting.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and data summaries for internal stakeholders and customers.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Food Science, Grain Science, Cereal Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in food ingredient research or product development, preferably with wheat or cereal systems.
  • Foundational understanding of wheat chemistry, gluten functionality, starch behavior, and dough rheology.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as RVA, farinograph, mixograph, and DSC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic statistical analysis software.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

  • Experience with sensory or functional testing of baked or extruded products.
