Responsibilities

  • Execute specialized technical research and development activities including data analysis and model development
  • Develop general R&D software tools to increase company capabilities
  • Support top-level technical direction and strategic goals
  • Serve as an Investigator on commercial and government programs, focusing on Modeling and Simulation/GNC
  • Oversee development of new IP, candidate products, and technical initiatives
  • Manage multiple contracts, including budget tracking and engineer management
  • Develop test protocols, collect/analyze data, and create detailed reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of experience, Master's with 3-5 years, or Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
  • Proven experience in Modeling and Simulation, dynamics, and controls theory
  • Strong skills in MATLAB/Simulink or Python
  • Experience with stability and control system design and assessment
  • Required experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of C/C++
  • UAS / UAM experience
  • Extensive flight test experience for assessing vehicle performance and handling qualities
