Senior Research Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionize a causal inference platform to measure incremental impact
• Research and implement causal estimation methods like heterogeneous treatment effects
• Build long-term outcome frameworks for impact projection
• Develop diagnostic and validation standards for causal estimates at scale
• Leverage AI to create counterfactual scenarios and causal analysis tools
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Analytics to deploy production-ready solutions
• Contribute to the technical vision for causal inference and predictive modeling

Requirements

• PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• 10+ years of experience in causal inference and machine learning
• Expertise in propensity score matching, Double Machine Learning, and instrumental variables
• Experience building reusable causal inference tools or platforms
• Proficiency with Spark, Ray, SQL, Python, and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Experience with terabyte- or petabyte-scale datasets in distributed environments
• Strong ability to translate econometric findings into business recommendations
