Responsibilities
- Independently execute and optimize stepwise hiPSC differentiation protocols to generate multiple target cell types
- Maintain transparent, reproducible records in Benchling or equivalent ELN
- Prioritize and complete time-sensitive experiments critical to lead program progression
- Troubleshoot assay or protocol challenges with initiative and structure
- Analyze experimental data using reproducible, well-documented workflows
- Characterize differentiated cell populations using immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and microscopy-based methods
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in process development, translational science, and manufacturing
- Support general lab operations including reagent preparation and inventory management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience in hiPSC culture and directed differentiation
- Or Master’s degree in Biology or equivalent with 3+ years of experience
- Demonstrated ownership of stepwise directed differentiation protocols and optimization
- Proven success in developing and scaling protocols for multiple hiPSC differentiation pathways
- Experience in fast-paced startup biotech environments
- Proficiency in immunofluorescence, FACS, and other lineage-specific assays
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with flow cytometry and imaging software
- Excellent documentation skills in Benchling or similar ELN platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree concentrations in molecular biology, developmental biology, or stem cell biology
- Familiarity with bioreactor systems or engineered culture platforms
- Experience with technology transfer and SOP development
- Prior experience in cell therapies and regenerative medicine
- Background in mentoring or training junior staff
