Senior Research Associate, Novel Delivery Technologies

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of extrahepatic LNP delivery vehicles for in vivo editing payloads
• Support experimental design and execution for formulation discovery and platform development
• Characterize LNPs for size, polydispersity, concentration, and encapsulation
• Determine RNA and protein content within LNPs
• Execute experimental plans and interpret results under senior scientist guidance
• Troubleshoot lab workflows and maintain laboratory equipment
• Maintain high-quality documentation in lab notebooks
• Collaborate with process development, analytical development, biology, and pharmacology teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field with 2-4 years of experience
• Master's degree in these fields with 1-2 years of experience
• Experience with lipid nanoparticle (LNP) manufacture and characterization or bioconjugation techniques
• Proven track record of planning experiments and meeting timelines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial research experience
• Knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and biology
• Experience with protein characterization techniques
• Experience with LNP process scale up/down
• Experience in process or analytical development
