Senior Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Develop assays for DNA using genome-wide and targeted approaches
• Plan and execute experiments to optimize and characterize assay performance
• Create and manipulate high impact assay inputs and reagents
• Gather high-quality data and communicate lessons learned
• Perform data analysis and present results cross-functionally
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement process improvements
• Collaborate with engineers and clinical lab members to transition protocols to production
• Contribute to writing study protocols and reports following cGLP and cGDP

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or related field
• At least 4 years of professional experience in life sciences
• Experience executing verification and validation studies for IVD assays in a GLP environment
• Hands-on experience in NGS-based assay development (extraction, library prep, target capture, sequencing)
• Proficiency in molecular biology, genomics, and sample preparation workflows
• Ability to manually pipette with high precision and accuracy
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in clinical diagnostics or start-up environments
• Experience with methylated ctDNA/cfDNA in liquid biopsy workflows
• Experience with automated liquid handlers and laboratory information systems
• Familiarity with Python or R
