Senior Research Associate - Downstream

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scientific projects and studies focused on downstream protein purification and laboratory scale techniques.
• Ensure the integrity of data and scientific conclusions for all assigned projects.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations and troubleshoot processing problems.
• Develop and maintain small-scale models and expertise in protein purification methodologies.
• Author high-quality protocols, work instructions, SOPs, risk assessments, and technical reports.
• Maintain high standards of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Operational Excellence (5S).
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop project plans.
• Communicate scientific outputs through presentations to internal functions and stakeholders.

Requirements

• PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, or a related scientific discipline with 0-2 years of experience in laboratory scale upstream/downstream techniques.
• OR a Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 3-5+ years of experience in laboratory scale upstream/downstream techniques.
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of cGMP manufacturing processes for Biologics.
• Proven experience with protein purification methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial scale manufacturing.
• Background or experience in analytical science.
