Senior Reporter, Private Credit and Leveraged Finance

Responsibilities

• Break exclusive stories on leveraged financing, private credit, and USD/EUR high-yield bond issuances
• Monitor APAC market trends, fund movements, and key personnel changes
• Collaborate with data specialists, credit analysts, and legal analysts to produce accessible long-form content
• Build and nurture a high-level network of contacts across investment and legal communities
• Represent Octus as a subject matter expert at industry conferences, webinars, and panel discussions

Requirements

• Proven track record in financial journalism with a capital markets specialization
• Deep understanding of private credit, syndicated loans, bonds, and distressed debt restructurings
• Scoop-first mindset with strong writing skills and uncompromising attention to accuracy
• Self-starter with effective interpersonal skills for fast-paced, source-driven environments
• Ability to navigate sophisticated financial sources and AI tools
