About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and drive reliability strategy across New Product Introduction (NPI), in-market monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define reliability requirements, targets, and validation strategies to ensure products meet predictable launch outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate reliability risks early through structured methodologies such as DFMEA and HALT.
- Translate use cases and field conditions into system-level test strategy and execution plans.
- Analyze reliability data to generate actionable insights and influence cross-functional decisions across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for test and field failures.
- Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to standardize reliability practices and scale test capabilities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience applying Design for Reliability (DfR) principles, preferably in high-volume consumer electronics or wearables.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of reliability principles across electro-mechanical systems and failure mechanisms.
- Experience defining and executing reliability test strategies including HALT, HASS, and ALT.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, reliability modeling, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical insights to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
