Senior Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth failure analysis to identify root causes and contributing factors in surgical robotics systems
• Analyze trends in reported failures to identify areas for product improvement
• Categorize and prioritize customer complaints for detailed investigation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and design teams to integrate reliability enhancements
• Communicate investigation results and outcomes to stakeholders and affected customers
• Utilize investigative techniques such as "Cause Map" or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Biomedical, Computer Science, Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering) with 4+ years of experience
• OR Master’s degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of experience
• OR PhD with relevant experience
• Proven expertise in conducting root cause investigations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Medical Product verification and FDA guidance
• Background in robotics, mechatronics, or highly regulated industries (medical or military)
• Proficiency in Linux OS, Matlab, or Python
• Experience developing automation scripts to analyze test data
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, modeling techniques, and reliability engineering best practices
• Ability to manage and track multiple hardware and software configurations
