Responsibilities
- Advise on Design for Reliability (DfR) for critical mechanical subsystems
- Participate in cross-functional design failure analyses (DFMEAs)
- Translate reliability risks into actionable test plans to uncover failure mechanisms
- Determine root causes and establish methods to accelerate failure rates in test
- Focus on liquid and gas handling sub-systems and electro-mechanical components
- Act as a champion for safety
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in developing new tests to evaluate performance or reliability of mechanical systems
- Familiarity with developing accelerated lifetime tests
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with liquid and gas handling systems such as pumps, pipes, ducts, and fans
