Senior Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain system reliability, availability, and performance across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments
• Implement proactive performance monitoring, automated alerting, and incident response workflows
• Develop and improve scalable automated infrastructure solutions and repeatable service delivery
• Implement rollback strategies, recovery approaches, and chaos engineering practices
• Analyze usage patterns and capacity trends to support dynamic scaling and resource optimization
• Develop real-time operational dashboards, reports, and metrics for rapid decision-making
• Respond to and resolve system outages, impairments, and service disruptions
• Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures
• Collaborate with software developers, cloud engineers, and cybersecurity personnel
• Create and maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and operational runbooks
• Automate common operations tasks to improve consistency and efficiency
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure automation and system administration

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of site reliability engineering, system monitoring, and incident management
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux administration
• Experience with automation platforms like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of cloud services across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong network troubleshooting and performance bottleneck identification skills
• Ability to design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and operational reporting
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or Cybersecurity
• 10+ years of experience in SRE, systems administration, or cloud operations
• DoD Secret Security Clearance
