About the role
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and structure equipment finance and lease transactions ranging from $250,000 to $25,000,000 for Canadian Commercial Banking clients.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and sales plans to drive profitable growth within the assigned market area.
- Partner with Client Relationship Managers to provide expert advice on credit submissions, pricing, and financial statement analysis.
- Build and maintain a strong market profile by engaging with business leaders, professional networks, and centers of influence.
- Manage a consistent sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on prospect and customer activities.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and AML/KYC processes.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5 years of previous work experience in a relevant financial or sales role.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Expertise in credit structuring, financial analysis, and lease vs. buy modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of the Canadian commercial banking marketplace and industry trends.
- Experience working with complex financial structures and diverse client segments.
- Strong interpersonal and networking abilities to manage internal and external stakeholders.
